the RAMY story (Your life is defined by your perspective) - Buy my book, written to be an inspiring, uplifting story of our family's trial through a parent's worst nightmare and God's good grace. The book was originally written as a way for me to cope; to get through the emotion that I could not explain and needed to expel. My hope is that it touches at least one person, encourages at least one person and helps many to look at life with a different perspective.

Here is a fun story about the history of the apron...
The principal use of Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath. Because she only had a few, it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and they used less material, but along with that, it served as a potholder for removing hot pans from the oven.
It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears.
From the chicken coop, the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven.
When company came, those aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids.
And when the weather was cold, grandma wrapped it around her arms.
Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood stove.
Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron.
From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables. After the peas had been shelled, it carried out the hulls.
In the fall, the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees.
When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds.
When dinner was ready, Grandma walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the men knew it was time to come in from the fields to eat.
It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replace that 'old-time apron' that served so many purposes.

Kitchen Gadgets (by Pampered Chef) - When working in the kitchen, everyone has their favorite (and necessary) tools. I personally, have always loved the quality and price point of Pampered Chef products. I have many in my personal kitchen and many of them are almost 20 years old (which proves their quality).
I highly recommend the can opener and egg slicer plus (my kids use all the time to dice olives for tacos), which are both kid safe. A couple other products that I use all the time (and have had for years) are the measuring cups and spoons and the batter bowl (which I can't say enough good about and has a lid for throwing the leftovers, batter, etc. directly into the fridge. I also love their bamboo spoons and could go on and on...

Delish Delights Olive Oils - Olive oil is a "staple" ingredient for cooking. There are so many to chose from, ranging from the traditional olive oils we are used to finding in the stores, infused olive oils and those that have major health benefits. All carry a different taste and are used for different applications. I was recently introduced to the education and know-how of olive oils that provide major health benefits. While, before being educated, I would have thought the oil almost tasted rancid and would not have been inclined to ever make a purchase of it, with some education (I would love to continue to learn much more), I now enjoy several types of olive oil in my pantry and am thankful for what I have learned. Not only is olive oil now used in my cooking, but also for "oil pulling" and as a daily supplement.

Candles (by Partylite) - If you know me, you probably know I have an absolute obsession with candles (especially Partylite candles). My husband knows this one in particular and purposefully overlooks the entire hall closet the same way I overlook his garage. Candles are a great complement to any kitchen, bath, bedroom or even the outdoors. Beside the wonderful smells you can choose from, the overall ambiance they provide is sensational.
Feel free to join me in my obsession and click on the image above to purchase candles (ambiance) of your own. 50% of your purchase goes directly to the start-up of Delish Delights and the Mary M. Boyd Foundation.

Essential Oils (by Doterra) - I believe that teaching others the benefits of natural remedies (such as essential oils) is an important thing. I have endured many medical procedures, been treated for cancer and have encountered many "modern" medicines throughout my life. Although, ever since I was young, I felt that these "medicines" were not what I wanted in my body. I always refused to take medicines such as Tylenol, Advil, etc. and would let my self suffer through the symptoms. I have always taken a more natural approach to my body, but never had the education to know how to help myself. A few years ago I discovered Essential Oils (more directly Doterra Essential Oils). I filled our house with oils to deal with everything from headaches and stomach aches to anxiety and depression. My kids were on board right away, as they didn't have much of a choice and they realized quickly that everything I rubbed on them, helped with whatever they were suffering from. My husband on the other hand took a little bit longer to convince. Being someone who was quick to wash down an over the counter pill he knew would probably take away the symptoms he was suffering from, he was a little more resistant. However, once I was able to rub some peppermint on him (for a headache) or some DigestZen (for a stomachache), he quickly realized that I wasn't kidding and that his body was able to heal faster, naturally.
